Hello! I am Bérénice Linck, an award winning photographer based in Philadelphia, PA. I specialize in capturing your family’s unique story. Through my pictures, your everyday moments will become beautiful memories that you will treasure for a lifetime.

 

My love for photography blossomed ten years ago as a volunteer photographer for Habitat for Humanity and Friends of the Wissahickon. I loved documenting what they did to improve Philadelphia and its parks, and found that even though my work was photojournalistic, I was able to create artistic pictures from ordinary moments. These experiences greatly influenced my style and approach to photography.

I moved from Lyon, France to Philadelphia twenty years ago to attend Temple University. I quickly fell in love with Philly; its energy, many diverse neighborhoods, and awesome food scene. I consider myself lucky to have lived in the city all these years and to be raising my kids here in Fairmount.

 

After my daughter was born, I focused my photography on her and her environment. Not just capturing her beautiful eyes and smile, but also all that surrounded her and made her childhood unique: from finger painting on her baby-sized table, to splashing at Sister Cities park, and eating at Federal Donuts with her dad. I took these pictures not only for my husband and I, but also for her, as a gift to help her remember her childhood more vividly in the future.

My passion for childhood photography grew deeply after my son’s birth and witnessing the unique relationship between he and my daughter. I soon found myself taking pictures for friends, and through word of mouth other families started asking for my services. I love capturing emotions and genuine moments, because they are the ones we always want to remember. Focusing on all the little details of childhood and family life is what inspires me to create beautiful and natural pictures: a sibling’s reaction to her new brother, the grittiness of playing outside, parents giving their newborn baby her first bath, the giggles, the frowns, the mischief of childhood… I love to document these fleeting moments and help preserve them as lifelong visual memories, for both you and your children.
